Nancy Lewen Biography
Nancy has been with Bristol-Myers Squibb for almost 21 years and has been the supervisor of the Atomic Spectroscopy Laboratory for 20 years. During that time, she introduced the techniques of ICP-MS and LIBS to the laboratory, which supports R&D efforts in BMS. She is a member of the USP General Chapters Expert Committee, a member of the USP sub-committee on Chapter <730>, the General Chapter on Plasma Spectrochemistry, which she helped to write; a member of the USP sub-committee on Chapter <191> , ID tests; and the chair of the USP advisory panel on heavy metals (chapter <231>). She was the recipient of the BMS Chemistry Leadership Award in 2005 and the NJ Association of Biomedical Research (NJBAR) "Outstanding Women in Science" award in 2008.
